I have HIDs on my foglights, they are connected normally. Red wire to battery, negative to chassis. Input wires connected to factory fog light wires. I also have an aftermarket stereo system in my car with an aftermarket amplifier and subwoofer.

When I turn on my foglights from the factory switch. This causes the sound on my stereo to shut off BUT the bass from the subwoofer will continue. This only happens sometimes. I have also noticed that also when I have my zune hooked up, turning on my foglights will cause my zune to shut off and restart.

To fix this problem I have to restart my car. And everything is normal again.

Anyone have ideas?

too much power? not enough power? who knows? whats your fuse rating on your fogs?

seem to me more of a power issue.

What is powering the interior speakers that cut out? Factory amp, aftermarket amp, head unit?

The head unit is powering the speakers. I have wires running directly to each speaker
