Default H3 Bulbs Compare to 9006 bulbs (HID)

Hi guys i need help looking up the size of H3. I just got a new front bumper for my car and the fog lights are H3 bulbs. Ive never had a set of H3s before and from what i can tell it wont fit HID bulbs if the bulbs are the same size as 9006 or D4S (the regular 2 inch long bulbs). Can someone hook it up with a comparable picture of the H3 bulbs and 9006? does it make a difference whether it is a HID bulb or a regular bulb?

Thanks

H3 bulbs are halogen fog light bulbs, and 9006 are typically low beam halogen bulbs, although I have seem more and more new cars use 9006 for fogs.

Make sure the rebased H3 HID bulbs you buy have the correct focal point, so you have the optimal light output.

Your halogen bulbs may be using the H3C design, a very compact looking bulb. Regular HID H3 bulbs may fit, but you may have to alter them (having their return wire face down, maybe other modifications) to get them to offer acceptable output. Even then, a dedicated H3C bulb, like emoshun has stated, will probably yield best results

This is what I meant.

The H3 bulb will stop short of where the HID bulb will stop, but that is ok.

As long as the arc bubble is in the same relative spot the H3's filament is in, you're good to go.

I would get them from Luxury Mods!

Authorized CL vendor FTW!

Test fitting is the only way to know for sure!
