+1 to quality customer service from HID extra

Had a mismatched pair of bulbs, took pictures and informed them. Considering the holiday season, got the new pair in good time and all is well.

What brand are your D4S bulbs that you sell?

I'm looking for 6000k Garax D4S bulbs if you sell them.

Michelle,

I purchased a 6000k kit for my 06 IS350 from the holiday promotion and have been having a few issues.

1.) The passenger light has intermittent problems firing up and flickering.

2.) The passenger light seems noticeably dimmer than the driver's side. When I'm standing in front of the car they look the same... but projected on a garage or from the reflection on the back of a car while I'm driving the driver's side always looks brighter.

3.) Tonight when I parked at home I noticed the passenger's side light was not lit. I turned the lights off, then back on and they both were on again...

I can't help but think something is defective on the passenger's side assembly... I thought I was not supposed to see any flickering and did not need a relay? Can you help?

HI,

Please take the ballast from the side that went out and swap it to the other side and see if the problem follows the ballast, if it's the ballast, send me an email to info@hidextra.com and I'll get you instructions to get it exchanged for a new part. Thanks~

i ordered 5k for an older civic and it does have just a hint of blue almost like an OEM HID blue, which is what i was looking for. so far no problem for over a week and easy install (about 30 mins because space was tight and dirty and it was freakin cold outside)

I purchased a 6k HID Kit for fogs and got 6k HID Bulb to match for the low beams but they don't look the same like the picture posted here. 6K lights are on the right.
HIDEXTRA can you tell me why different light color?

Hi,

Please understand that D2 series or any D series bulbs are made a bit different than other single beam lights, so the color for the D series will be off than the fog single beams, sometimes a bit purplish instead. The color is also affected by the reflectors in your housing since headlight housing and fog housing reflectors are not the same. Thanks~

Michelle,

Wanted to say thank you for fixing my ordering mistake to allow me to maximize the discount & state that the level of improvement from stock on the 90 LS is amazing! My 94 LS is up next!

Any tricks from other LS members on where to best mount the ballast?

yeah i didn't realize this would happen until i tried to match my fogs with lows. i bought 6k lows few months ago and fogs both from HIDXTRA during the ny's special. the lows are white and the fogs turned out to be white with a noticeable hint of blue. they don't really match now lol, but, nonetheless, i am satisfied with your products, michelle. can't beat the low price!
