nah, i got them from a different outfit before i noticed that HIDeXtra was a sponsor here. anyway, i replaced the fog lamps and installed the relay harness with products from HIDeXtra. other than the relay harness getting all squirrely on me yesterday i have yet to have a problem.

Well, spending a little more for better quality relay harness might be in the works? But, you're not in total darkness since the low and high come on. However, seeing a deer down the road could make a hugh reaction time difference!

i bought a HID H4 Hi/lo kit and I needed to know if the halogen portion of the bulb needs to be set as the Hi. When i connect it, it shines a yellow color and seems less bright than the 6000K HID which is setup as the lo beam, so i am not sure if it needs to be designated as Hi beam or Lo Beam. Is it better for me to upgrade to a Bi-xenon configuration ?

i have hit:
a turkey (did $800 worth of damage to my nissan frontier and kept flying!!!)
a red fox (also in the frontier. cute lil' guy didn't make it)
a black bear (again in my frontier. i clipped him and a lady in a minivan full of kids took him out)
surprisingly enough i have yet to hit a deer given the fact that the area i live in is infested with them!

i thought so too in the beginning, especially with the comparison of pictures of both beams shooting at the garage door.
it's actually the other way around. the range of the beam actually goes further than it did before with my halogen bulbs. also, i see the road A LOT better with the HID's installed vs. halogen.
so to set things straight, the HIDs do give better output than the halogens regardless of the pictures of them on my garage door. btw, they are 5000k

The camera is exposing less due to the high output....damn these cameras
