Default Help with sc300 foglight clean (opinions needed)

hello fellow members
i need your guys opinion
Do you guys think this light is salvageable?
the previous bulb broke inside and some how water got in and everything kind of rusted inside.
i know i have to BAKE it? to open it?

any ideas on what to use to clean the chrome housing inside to make it look clean again?

You have a few issues with your Housing

Once you "bake" it to remove the actual lense, clean it out with a cleaner, such as Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner. Then use a Polish such as Meguiars SwirlX.

If the cleaner and polish doesn't remove the rust look, try wet/dry sandpaper...About 2000Grit

On the outside, it's Oxidized...

Purchase Meguiars Headlight Restoration Kit and clear that up

If this doesnt work to your satisfaction, I may have some spare parts lying around. In the end, I would wetsand with 1500 grit, then 2000 grit sandpaper, then use cutting compund, then polish, then a good wax on the outside clear lense cover. This will insure the brightest, clearest, and the full potential of the OUTER lense. I cant see the picture due to this computer at work. PM me if needed.
