Default Color of 3000K HIDs?

Hey guys. I'm installing some 3000K HIDs for fogs and one of my bulbs seem to be different. The one on the left looked like the one on the right when I first started them up. But then changed to the color in the picture after a minute or two. The one on the right just stayed that way. I read in another thread that they need to run for ~10 hours to "burn in"? Will the one on the right look like the one in the left over time? Or is something wrong with one of the bulbs? I did swap the bulbs to rule out an issue with the ballasts and the color went with the bulb.

I was curious for all those who have/seen 3000K HIDs, which bulb is producing the real color output. I tried to compare the colors from those who posted pics and I still can't tell. Thanks in advance!

Get a refund asap, because your cheap chinese PNP bulb's salt mixture is way off.

Sorry to see this happen to so many guys on here.

Here is an example of how yellow 3000k need be.

uhh..... i dunno about that one....

i had a ISx50 and the color of the bulb on your driver side (the lighter color one) is how it should look.

the one pictured above from emoshun most companies have that listed as 2500k.

but he is right there must be something wrong with your passenger side bulb and i would recommend you return that and exchange that for another one.

i like the 3k look... definitely doesn't look the same as if you were to throw in a regular yellow halogen bulb

My 3k on my IS and 3k on my new car is the same... bought from xenon depot and mobile hid

Thanks guys!! The one on the driver side definitely looks like the ones on Batmobile's IS. Probably cause I bought my kit from MobileHID too. I sent Cliff an email about it and hopefully I'll hear back from him soon.

Batmobile, where did you end up mounting the ballasts on your IS? Did you remove the front bumper too?

The correct color is on the passenger side. There is no such thing as a 2500k HID kit. If there is, it's just a label. Contact who you bought it from and tell them cause that bulb is bad.

Its green cause its a bad bulb. And usually that person you buy it from changes it out for you for nothing, at least they're supposed to LOL

Hmmm...I'll wait and see what Cliff says and see which one or if both needs to be replaced. I don't have nor want to start anything against Cliff. I think they stand behind their product But I was just curious to see which of the bulbs was bad or which is the real color or if I'm just seeing things.

I hear ya, nothing is perfect I've heard nothing but good things about his service and that's why I went with him. Nothing wrong with any of the other vendors also of course.

2 bad egg in the carton kills the deal for me. I was about to jump on his HID but for $150 and bad bulbs, that seriously killed the deal..

The failure rate of aftermarket PNP's is getting higher and higher as more companies are selling kits cheaper, and cheaper.

I remember when $250 was a good price for a HID kit.
