2Gs Stock HID bulb replacement
So I changed my city lights to LEDs and now my city lights look blue and my stock HID's look more white. I want to match these and have already tried many different LED bulbs in hopes of matching it with the stock HID headlights.
I'm thinking about switching my stock HID bulbs to a higher temp/blue color bulb. Is it possible to switch the stock HID bulbs with aftemarket ones without changing the stock ballast?
If so can anyone suggest a bulb that will match the blueish LED city lights?
My LED are super white by PIAA but look more blue than white.
Any help is much appreciated

Thanks for the response...so i checked them out and the description describes these 6000k bulbs of having a purplish hue?
i know different brands vary in shades but are these more purple than blue? Question....i'm assuming my stock HID's are 5000k and it seems replacing the bulbs with 6000K will work fine. What about 8000k? can I still use the same stock ballast? Can i use any 6000k/8000k HID bulb like PIAA for example?

I wouldn't go higher than 6000k for the sake of the bulbs ability to illuminate the road. You lose output intensity the higher you go in the kelvin scale.
4300k is stock, 5000k & 6000k are the only aftermarket bulbs that Philips makes.
Stick with Philips seeing it's what you have stock, they have the highest quality standards, and will not fail prematurely or color shift like other chinese bulbs.
Good luck!

so i finally changed my stock HID bulbs with Xenon 6000k D2R bulbs. After hours of trying to install the bulbs I finally decided to take off the front bumper. While I had the bumper off i decided to also upgrade my fog lights with the Xenon 6000k HID upgrade which was a direct plug and play.
I did not upgrade my high beams simply because the high beams are also my day lights. I didn't want to go through all the re-wiring of everything.
The 6000k Xenon bulbs definiely are much brighter and have more of a blueish tint compared to the stock HID bulbs, however I am still stuck with unmatching city lights. I am currently using PIAA led bulbs for my city lights (which seem to look more purple than anything) and have just ordered some HID led's from V-Led.com. Hopefully these bulbs will finally match.
Thanks for all the input guys....I'm definitely glad I upgraded my bulbs. I didn't think they were gonna make that much of a difference!
