ok so i found a few pics of the HIDxtra 3000k and the Luminics Krypton yellow on the forum. I think the HIDxtra yellow is closer to what i have in mind in terms of color. i know pics sometimes don't capture real life color accurately, but that's the best i have to go on. And with the current special price of $55, i think i'm gonna give the HIDxtra 3000K a try

I think the kryptons are a marketing scheme. i just with with the regular luminics.
i think HIDs:brighter, more pale yellow
halogens:deeper yellow, not as bright.
i went for the deeper yellow look over brightness. you could get both to try out and then sell the one you don't like?

thanks for the pics. at first i was still leaning towards halogen because it's easier to install, but DixonPai's pics are def giving me second thoughts. i was gonna go with Luminics Krypton (supposedly 30% more yellow compared to normal Luminics), but if the type of yellow stays the same as in the pic, then i think i prefer the HID yellow.
Does anyone have a pic of the 3000K from HIDExtra? Or do all 3000K HID pretty much look the same? Also, does anyone have pic of the 2500K Luminics Krypton? Thanks!
DixonPai, what brand is your 3000K HID? and btw, is your lowbeam 6000K or 8000K? Thanks.
edit: just saw your sig that you have 6000K lows. Thats the one in your pics, right?

i actually have the Oracle led drls, and they are very dim. other users who have used tried both the oracle and vled drls said vleds are way better and brighter. i've heard that the vleds flickers as well, but yeah a drl module (or rectifier or w.e you call it) should do the trick. i had a pair sent to me along with my oracle drls, and they don't help ***** LOL. didn't do a thing in rectifitying the flicker.
hit them up and ask about when the modules will be in stock.
i'm sure the vleds will work perfectly.

oh the flickering is not THAT bad. i got used to it lol. it flickers at a super fast rate and can only be seen at close distance. i say 6 - 10 ft since my gf drove in front of me before and she said she saw the drls flickering when we were at a dead stop.
