Thanks, but I am just playing around with my old LED bulbs to see if I'll get lucky... of either matching 4300K, 6000K, 3000K...

Oh, something just popped!!!
I think the easiest way to dilute the paint to match either 4300K, 6000K, or 3000K is by painting them on the ceramic wrap then overlay it on the LED bulb or regular bulb.
This way it would reduce the risk of damaging the bulbs and the time of stripping the paint from the bulbs.

I like it, nice job. Hopefully the acrylic will stick for a long time.

Got the dilution ratio for LED bulbs to match 3000K HID FogLight, dilute Tamiya X-24 1:1 (1 part filtered water and 1 part X-24) with just 1 coat.

This dilution matched 3000K pretty close, white with vary light yellowish tint.
Picture does not do the justice, you have to see it in person...

HeadLight in this picture is from Hit&Run to my toy when it was only 2 weeks old, it finally has its purpose...

Also for CL members is interested in lighting up the turn signal housing without damaging the overpriced HeadLight (over $1,200 a piece); here is what you could do.

Tab the wires from the parking light from the HighBeam housing then connect to the LED bulb. Glue or tape the bulb to that clear window, brightest location is lower-right.

Hope this helps,

Stevie

Way to get creative. Will the acrylic melt or fade?

Since LEDs use less wattage, so it produce less heat. But just to be save I have placed & sealed one of the 25 SMD LED in the container that came with the HID bulb, it has been "RUNNING" for the past 72 hours, thous far no fading or melting paint!!!
