If anyone is considering an HID conversion, check the thread in the group buy section, Manaray did a conversion in his 1st gen. SC with the same projectors as our ES and there's alot of great info. there.

Don't run more than 5-10 watts higher than factory wattage and you shouldn't have any problem...

Here are my lights...

I was really unsatified with my stock bulbs, so I put some sylvania Silverstars in. I'm highly satisifed, they increase visibility by quite a bit. The spread's about the same, but the distance has increased.

Question HID and projector headlamps

Hi I was searching for projector headlamps for ES300 for days on the internet already and I came up with nothing. So just wondering if anyone has any kind of info or has any experience with it.

Also, about the HID. Has anyone installed a HID and has anything to say abt it? (a HID i was interested was around $500CAN http://www.mccullochhid.com/)

And I was thinking abt purchasing a dash kit, but it seems like it's just a sticker...
$163 for a Basic Kit
$25 for Steering Wheel Trim Strips
$35 for Chrome Rolled Edge Exhaust Tips

Another question~ (sorry i got so many things to ask) I was wondering about getting a car bra. But I don't know where to get them and how much is it? can I install and uninstall by myself?

Welcome, the search function is kinda hidden; it takes a little while to figure out it's there.

The important thing to look for with HID's is that you're getting quality components. Phillip's bulbs and Phillips or Hella ballasts (they're the same thing) are top quality. I believe there is one other that is in that league as well, Osram maybe but I'm not sure. The Phillips, Hella combination seems to be the most popular quality HID's, avoid the knockoff brands, the bulbs will burn out much, much earlier and you're much more likely to have other problems.

Talking Thx for the tip~

so approximately how much is the Phillips bulbs and Hella ballasts? and where can i find them? (wat stores, websites, etc.)
and wat abt the installation?
rite now i m at Plantation (somewhere near Miami), and i just came here to work for the summer, so i have no idea where to look for these.
Also, as anyone heard abt projector headlamp for the '98 version of ES300? or i was wondering if it's possible to get just the projector lens not the whole lamp, and just somehow fit it in to the original lamp....?

I've tried all the bulbs, PIAA xtreme white is the way to go if you don't get real HID.
