Can anyone confirm or deny if the new LS460's are coming with an upgraded bulb besides the bright but boring 4100K output ones? I had a 2010 or 2011 LS 460 driving behind me earlier today and I would swear that those bulbs might have been the 6000K version because they actually looked cool. And of course you can always install the 6000K's for that look, but the guy was in his 80's and I doubt pimpin his headlights are at the top of his priorty list. Please advise. Thanks...

No vehicles come with bulbs with any temperature but the standard 4100-4300k OEM bulbs usually from Phillips. The colors you see from every stock vehicle with HID's like: BMW, Acura, Range Rover, etc are from the actual projectors cutoff line. Different projectors project different color ranges that show when the car is going over bumps/hills etc.

If that's the case. Then Lexus "in their pursuit of perfection" needs to get on it and catch up with the makes of the fine projector housings such as the ones from Acura, MB, Audi, BMW etc. Those lights look awesome straight out of the factory.

Yeah, as far as performance they are about the best as far as output and/or projection. It's just that they don't design the projectors to look quite as blue/sexy as Acura
