Hey CL,
just wanna put out a warning to all my fellow LS 460/430 Headlamp retro-fitters,
beware and make sure you seal the BALAST as best you can, or water will invade it and eventually destroy it... as I learned the hard way..

The modern LS/GS/Toyota etc.. balasts are not sealed like the 98' GS/LS ones, which are in a better sealed enclosure, I tried to seal the thing as best I could hopefully I wont have overheating problems when the summer rolls around, guess I'll just have to wait and see..

Weird that they didn't seal the newer ones... The older ones is very well sealed.

I double-side taped my ballasts to the boxes (airbox & fuse) next to the headlights. The area under the headlight can get wet. I also ran a small bead of silicone around the opening of the ballast for extra measure.

Yea, the new balasts fit directly into the lamp housing, not like the old ones that are only fastened to the housing.
