So that I can turn my aftermarket lights on all at once. and turn them off if police show up. I also wanted to have my rain lights come one when I want them to, like, I dont want them wired to my parking lamps. I want to be able to turn them on without any headlamps or parking lamps on... Can I do this?

ok here's what you do. There is a place for 2 switches right above the e-brake. you need 2 to do this. switch 1 will be used for the fogs, and switch 2 will be used the angel eyes and nozzle lights. you need 2 12v relays (from radio shack or any alarm/stereo store) and some 12-14 gauge wire and some butt connectors or elec. tape to do the job. Each relay has 4 leads: 30, 85, 86 and 87.

Fogs:
Start under the hood and on the relay hook up 30 to a 12v + constant from the battery, and 85 to the ground. 87 taps in to the + side of your fog light wires. There will be 2 wires going into each fog. You need a multimeter or a test light to find out which one is + and which one is -. This wire from 87 goes to BOTH + wires.
Inside the car, find a wire that is ingition controled +. There are several in the driver's kick pannel and under the steering wheel. This wire goes to one lead on switch 1. The other end of the switch goes to 86 on the relay. This makes it so that you never leave your lights on. They will always turn off then the car is off. Some switches have a 3rd input, for a ground so that the switch lights up when your accessory is on. That is ok too.

Angel eyes and nozzle lights:
Mostly the same, 30 to 12v+ constant, 85 to a ground, 87 goes the the plus wire on the nozzles and angel eyes, and 86 goes to the switch. you can power both switches from the same lead inside the car.

Always use fuses on the 12v leads to the relay. Get one inline fuse holder, then split the wire after the fuse to goto both relays. This will take most of a day if you've never done it before.

Good luck.

i guess our headlight system is unique, but the circular projective housing is kinda....unclear. i dont know if its dirt, or from it being several years old and exposed to the sun a lot, but ever seen a person with a cataract?? it kind of reminds me of that. its got the white-ness to it instead of the clearness.

One of mine was slightly hazy when i took them apart. I wiped it down w/ a paper towel and now it looks great. All projector housings are like that, the audi ones are almost black. Maybe it's just your lights. I love the projectors.

hey, i already have 2 switches there. one is blue for my nozzle lights, and one is red for my PS2 and video screen. i am just going to wire the angel eyes into my nozzle lights wire, and the fogs... is there no way to just rewire it so that i use the same switch that they already run off of?

Default 97's don't have projectors

97 and up doesn't have projectors, so I'm not sure what you'd wrap angel eyes around. You could clear the corners, and add a HID kit (note, 97+ uses H7 bulbs, not the 9006). If you live in CA, there's a shop that retrofits BMW projectors into other housings for around $700, some guys have done it to 1st gen SC's.

ok, just make sure you use relays. you can tap the angel eyes into the nozzle lights for sure. I don't think you can use your factory switch b/c it's all tied in w/ the headlights. There is no effective way to find the wire before the fog switch and make it constant +. The switch only works when the headlights are on. That's the problem. You have to run you own switch. There is another good place for a switch, right above the gas pedal there is a little black vent thingy.

the HID bulbs install like normal bulbs, yes, but the power comes from a ballast and a high voltage wiring harness. It's about $450 for the complete set.

Is it me or does the angel eyes looks like a bunch of neon sticks going around in a circle cuz its not perfectally circular. Im not hating on your car in face I like it but arent angel eyes perfectally round.

it is flexible neon wire, they're not perfect, but that pic doesn't do them jusice. There is no inconsistency in the wire like there is in the pics. From more then 5 feet away, you can't tell they're not perfectly round. I suggest getting something brighter to anyone who wants to do this. They make generic ones for the bmw's, maybe it can work. Let me know if anyone knows.
