Default Projection Fog Lights Conversion

Does anyone know if you can change from the reflective fog from 95-96 to the projector ones on the earlier models?

And does anyone know why my pic isn't working?

The '96 fogs are set rectangular openings in that black lower grille. So, if you replaced your '96 lower grille with a 92-94 lower grille with the round openings for the fogs, it will probably work. I assume the wiring harness runs at the same wattage, etc. for both types. Perhaps you could find a junked 92-94 that was hit in the rear or side, and still has the front intact.

good idea, thanks. So, just replace the grille, not the entire bumper?

I'd be interested to hear if this would work, I think I'd prefer the rectangular fogs to the ones on my 92. Let us know if you try it.

I would if I was sure it would work. I wonder if the mounting brackets are the same. Does anyone have easy access to both to compare the mounting areas for the fogs and the lower grill? Well, another complication for me is that the screws that hold one of my fogs in are broken off in the brackets and I haven't been able to get them out. The fog light is holding in place well with tie straps, but I don't know how a square one would work if I switched.

Just wondering.....Why do you like the projection fog lights, IMO the rectangle ones look kind of "newer".... I guess I like newer looks since I am jealous of newer lex'z...hehe

Amrit, are you still interested in trading? I'm really thinking about it, so PM me or something if you're still interested.

Blux, the yellow light is best for seeing fog and probably other bad weather, so the yellow lights would actually work better as "fog" lights.
