Seattle ES300 and others... i have noticed while driving around town that a select few number of our generation ES's have really shiny chrom-ish looking projector housings inside the sealed headlight casing. you know, the round metallic parts. the one in the picture shown above and i believe EGainer's ES is the more shiny kind. mine is not so shiny. I don't know if they were made different, or well maintained (how do you polish the inside of a headlight?) or what. it kind of seems like it is regardless of the model year, cuz i see some shiny 92-94, and the others are not shiny 92-94. which come to think of it doesnt make much sense. call me crazy what not, those are my observations. if anyone else has noticed this, please reassure me that i am not "seeing things." and btw, i dont think i have seen any shiny kind in year 95-96.

I have a 96 and I guess they are 'shiney' So, I dunno what's up.
When I did my clears, and the headlight assy was open, I noticed that the projectors in one side had a haze on them. I wiped them down w/ a paper towel and now they look great! So, you should do the clear corner mod and wipe down your lenses.

be careful and take your time. I modified those instuctions. Here's what I did:
Cook it for about 5 min on 250, then dig a flathead screwdriver into the black goo to separate the 2 lips. the outer lip is on top of the inner lip. So run your screwdriver (horizontally) down the seam. Do the entire top. Put it back in the oven for 5 min and run it down the bottom seam. Have a friend help you, and just pull it appart. If it starts to budge but it's too hard, back in the oven. It took me 15 min. to get it apart. Go and buy some of that black silicon sealent. When you wanna get it back together, put this stuff around the entire lens, then back in the oven for 5 min. Put it back together, and clamp it closed. I used bungee chords. Any 2 clamps will do. Once you have it clamped, back in the oven for about 5 more min. THen once you take it out, more sealant on the outside. Entire process takes an hour. Good luck. Send any questions.

this is why, whenever a 95 - 96 clears the corners, where the corners are not darkened, they notice that their corners seem brighter than the rest of the headlight....
