Default Phillips HID on 98 Lexus es300?

OK- I want some HID lights for my car. I can't seem to find the right "K" lights. A lot of people say get the ones around 4,300K while others like the 6000K. I want a lot more light, but not look fake and too bluish/ purple. Any help or pictures? I know that some lights look blue and produce like zero light.

I searched the forums and found that Philips is the most suggested. They have the 4,300K, 5,000K, 6000K, etc. Any help. I think that I will either go with 5000K or the 6000k but maybe I am way off.

Any help.

Congratulations on the decision to do it right. The 4300k will be brightest and the most pure white light, most like daylight. As you go higher in color temp, output is lost. Anything above 6000k is not geniune Phillips and are probably inferior quality and design. All factory HID's use 4300k bulbs, the blue or purple color you see is a result of the reflectors or projectors. I don't know exactly how the different bulbs will end up looking in a 98 ES, but the 4300k's would probably be your best bet for good lighting and pure white appearance.

Check in the group buy forum, Manaray put up a great thread about the HID's he did in his car and there's alot of excellent info there. Also, you can check the tips section for some more HID info. I don't know the direct link to this, but check the detailing forum for a thread by Static911 about "car care tips up" or something similar, there's a link there.

Also, make sure you buy from someone reputable, many people sell kits with Phillips ballasts and cheap, poor quality bulbs claiming they are all Phillips. These bulbs will have a much shorter life and may have other problems as well.
