Default Yellowing HID Light (one side only)

I have a set of HIDs on my 06 IS350. I don't remember the brand but I have had these without issues for the past 5 years.

Just today, I noticed that one of the lights is yellow (the other side is fine - normal pure white color).

Can anyone provide some advice on what could be the issue? What part may be failing?

I would suggest swapping your bulbs left to right to see if the problem carries over. It sounds like the bulb may be going but the question is whether it is going as a result of a bad ballast. If it is the bulb I would suggest getting a set of HID bulbs otherwise your bulbs will not match in color.

Thanks Steve. It looks like the bulb that was going yellow is now dead. I will try to switch the bulbs to see if it's just an issue with the bulbs.

If it's just the bulb, can I buy any set that is compatible with my car? Meaning, can I keep my ballast (not sure what brand it is) and just replace the bulb?

You can. Either way, I would suggest getting a set of bulbs as if you only replace one bulb then your bulbs will not match in color. Let me know if you need some bulbs and I will help you out.

Hey,

The IS350 uses H11 bulbs for the low beams meaning that you would need to order H11 HID replacement bulbs. Do you know what color temperature you are interested in?

I want to get as close to OEM color as possible... thus, I think 4300k is probably the best choice for me.
