****cccccccccck!!!!!!! today is an AWEsome day!!!!!!! so now that ive added that cap (held by angled screws) the fog lights SNAP IN. no double sided tape or zip ties needed (good thing because i cant use either anyways, id have to screw them since they dont have a large enough surface area for teh adhesives to grip).

anyways s ill start with the negatives first: i need to find a place to ziptie or put my ballasts; i dont wanna ziptie them to that bottom grill because i might bottom out and send them flying, thus pulling out my bulbs etc.

good news:
THEY SNAP IN!
it turns out that my hids ARE YELLOW! they just take like 5 minutes to warm up instead of 60 seconds
i got 4 unmarked boxes that sound like theyred filled with heavy metal in the mail.
and the cut off line is straight

Such an awesome day. now for pictures:

low glare:

before yellow warmed up and caused my iso to react:

cut off line

awesome metal boxes of win

Damn custom job!

Btw I switched my slim ballast to the regular fat ballast and my green became yellow.

Who knew it was THAT easy? -_- I have about 5-6 bulbs sitting in my garage. fml.

im annoyed that i have a few sets also1 mine warm up after like 5 minutes but still not as good as they would be with a higher brand kit i think. oh well! itll do for now or at least until they both burn out

and a few more daytime shots

do you guys think i should put a light layer of vinyl tint on the fogs since they're so vibrant during the day or leave them as is? the yellow reflecting off the chrome seems so aggressive to me.

On my fogs, they glow green at first too, but I wired constant power to them, and had a relay switch on the ground, and it seems like they turn yellow sooner though.

IMHO I think yellow vinyl on the lenses looks a little, how shall I say, less classy.

Your overall setup looks damn sharp.

^ none, it melts the chrome like it did in mine

These 3000k hid kits are stupid - they're always green. This is the way to go with a proper retrofit;
