Default Purple HID's

Hi guys, just wondering if their was a to make the gs HID's look more purplish, like the BMW 540@ M5's or audi S4's???

when you start the car and turn the lights on, it does have a purplish look to it at the start but eventualy gets less purply.

Any thoughts?

I know the Q45 set looks sick on the gs but cost enough.

any other ways?

thanks,

the audi and bmw HIDs look purple because they are projector lens HIDs. If you want that color, you can try 6000k Ultinon bulbs.

they look purple coz' they are using projective lens rather than reflective on the gs. if you want more purplish tint on the light, get the 6000k like i did

They use projector lenses in their cars, hence the purple look they give off... Lexus uses reflective... reflective works better with halogen bulbs, projectors work better with HID's

I dont think len's works better the Projectors because whenever im Driving at night on a dark but wide road, my lights go from one side of the road all the way to the other side, has a very wide lighting area, on bmw's and other cars i've seen it seems like they dont light up as much area as the GS lights do, anyone else notice this??

Lightbulb Yep

Yep. That's kinda true. On my M3 The Purple HID's do not project as wide as the GS HID's. They are more straight ahead type. They are not as bright but they do seem to show you more of the road without the extra light from side to side. Personally I like the greenish/blue color & visual display of the GS. The only thing that I really like about the BMW HID's are the (Angel Eyes) . They really do kick as$. It's kinda like the way the BMW guys out there recognize each other. ex. (Lexus) I can recognize Lexus's & GS by the YEllow Fogs factory & the pattern of the rear tails of the GS. 98' pattern & 03' current design.

wow sorry wrong thread!

anyways I had those 6000k Ultinon bulbs before. More purple/white color. What's good is, it's really alot brighter, rather than those fake 8000k/10000k bulbs that claim to be brighter but is actually just bluer.

Lightbulb Hey Globe

Is that guy Enginweird or R. What a strange guy? Why would anyone waist time performing a grill DIY for other people? I mean all ya have to do is go to Home Depot & DIY for like $5 or $10 bucks. ???

That picture is as bad as some of the next-gen GS's that we have all seen floating around. What a joke!!!

Dunno how many of you guys have done it, but you guys can easily swap out your d2r bulbs for d2s bulbs and gain a few hundred extra lumens.

again i am out of town in LA now so i dont have the emails with me, but i will try here:

jus4bulbs@yahoo.com email this guy about the 6000k philips bulbs, should be 250 money order or 260 paypal
discountcycle@ureach.com email jason about the philips 6000k hid conversion kit. mention my name (Henry Kuo) and he should give you the price of 460. only thing is that you should get it asap, coz' i talked to him lately and he "complained" that i refer so many people that he's having a hard time keeping up...
