Questions:
1. How did you open the headlights?
2. How did you put the projectore on the housing?(e.g. Glue?)
3. From a far distance does it look like a projector or is the whole housing still lit up?

dongfongbubai, i cant really give u any details on how to do this because it is very difficult and a long process. If you have any questions or anything, you should go to :
www.illusion-lighting.com
click on contact and ask any questions dealing with my retrofit. . As for the angel eye look, i was considering on doing that but i dont really want the whole BMW look to it. BMW owners might think im trying to hard. I just want to keep it simple. I might considering on doing another retrofit with different setup, maybe next month or so and sell off the ones i have now. .
futuregs, I suggest that you go to the same website i referred dongfongbubai to. Questions will be answered if possible. .

Looks awesome Joe! I like the trim ring touch too. Way to do things right! I say you keep these projectors, they look slick and keep spectators on their toes .
For anyone interested in this mod or a similar custom lighting retrofit, you'll get a lot further directing your inquiries to info@illusion-lighting.com or PMing Johnny (member see_fu) as he is the main engineer behind this headlight mod as well as mine and a half-dozen other members here. If you're in the Socal area, I recommend you get your retrofit done through him directly. He knows what he's doing and you won't be disappointed with the results.

That is beautifu
So see_fu, is the SC the same amount to do the retro HID and projectors from the 5 series, and does this include cleaning up the inside of the headlight housings? I am very interested in this mod. I wasa also wondering if the black out mod would be an option for the SC too, while you had it open. Thank you bery much. Great work!

What about an ES?
See_fu, I got your IM the other day. I was away from the computer. I was wondering how difficult an ES300 would be to do or if you have done a retrofit on a pre-97 model either 95-95 or earlier models. You can respond here or PM if you like.
Mike
P.S
I already have Audi A6 progs. I just need the lighting equipment (i.e. ballasts, bulbs and appropriate wiring)
Thanks

Painting black is easy to do once we have the headlamp opened up, we choose not to paint the other SC's that we did because of the vehicles color.

Who knows! I just foudn this post again this morning! His car still looks bad@zz! I'm sure he's on other forums. Either way, I have yet to see another GS match or exceed the work Illusion did on his car. Maybe there are more out there but they have yet to post.
