Default check out my new mod. .

Well, i finally did it this past saturday. I had my lights retrofitted with the 5-series projectors and 3-series trim. . The housing was painted flat black and everything else was left in a chrome finish. . As you can see from the pictures, i have to change out my parking lights and foglights to match the HID's. Any suggestions on what bulbs? Well, im very satisfied with the retrofit which took practically the whole day. Hope you enjoy the pics. .

PS: I'll have some day shots up soon if anyone wants to see them, i just have to download them from the camera. .

How do you adjust them?

Did you just cut the back out and use just the projector from the 5? Or is that chrome plate around the projector custom?

400DGRZ, thanks for the compliment. .

The conversion cost me $700 and to adjust it, all you have to do is get a wrench and turn the nut that is located on the projector. No this wasn't a DIY, i had somebody else do it for me but i helped him also. There was a lot of preparation and patience that is required. We began on this project this past saturday at 930am or so and didnt finish til 730pm. The 3 Series trim is the chrom cover that has "XENON" printed. The OEM reflector had to be grind so that the projector from the 5 series can be slipped in and to give it a finished look, a trim from the 3-series was used as a cover. .

The cost includes everything. . Projectors, trim, painted inner housing, clear turn signal (if u like), HID bulbs, ballasts, everything that is needed to do the retrofit and of course labor is included. .

Actually, the cost may differe depending on what kind of setup you want. . There are different stages ranging from stage 1 to stage 6 which can run you around $1000 because i believe they you ECODE spec instead of DOT spec projectors. The ECODE will be a LOT brighter and it also has a light cut off. .

I've done this mod on my brother honda prelude a few month back. Cost $150 for a pair of BMW audi TT projectors, $220 for ballast and HID bulb from an X5

Took me a whole day to do it, I took a lot of pictures to do a write up, but end up lost all the pictures when I formated my hard drive. oh well

I QuiKSilvR I, look good, very clean.

Thanks BananaGS. . . I've seen a 98+ honda prelude retrofitted with audi projectors, it looks sick! and the light output is way better than before. . YES, it is very LABOR INTENSIVE..
