Default Adding HID TO 03 LX470

How feasible is it to add HID lamps to the 03 LX 470? Any Idea what something like that would cost? Will Lexus do it and provide a warranty for it? (I will pay lots extra for that peace of mind!) If I purchase the this truck I'd like to know if this can be done. The HID's on my wife's RX 300 are MUCH nicer than the halogens on my current vehicle. THANKS!!

You may have to go with Philip HID kit around $500.00, but I don't think Lexus will warranty it even if it install by Lexus dealer.

...this is Lexus we're talking about, im fairly sure that HID is an upgradeable option for ALL models....especially for an 03'. im sure the dealership has HID LX headlights that they could replace with your current halogens if thats the case.....of course you'd end up paying a pretty penny for it

So whats the verdict? Can it be done? What kit to go with if money is no object? Any more info or opinions?

The new 2003 has the green tinted headlamps as does the LS430, but is it even worth it to get HID's? Can I get a Slight Green HID' Kit? Any Opinions welcome guys

LL

Well gang,

Please try the Piaa Xtreme white H1 bulbs first. I also have Piaa Xtreme white H3s in the fogs. Performance is great and the look is HID all the way. Piaa does not officially sell the H1 Xtreme in the US but several importers can get them. Options Auto Salon had them instock with the best prices.

Second option, I would go with Autolamps...I think Manray did a GB awhile back and there are plenty of happy CL members as a result.

Honestly, I did the Piaa's first and have been happy with them....but, if money is no object..go with the Autolamps.

Hanabi 6000K kits come out slightly green sometimes the 5***K kits do too sometimes

you can get HID kits for about 300 bucks or so just look at the right places

yes it can always be done, as long as you know the bulb type. it's just like asking if you can change the bulbs of the headlight, except this one has one more componenet
