Default anyone upgraded to HID with a 95-97 LS400?

HI,

i am thinking of getting an aftermarket HID kit from ebay for $380 for my 95 LS400. Has anyone tried this? Are you satisfied with the result? I am worried about the glare that the stock headlight might cause as its not clear lens.

Please give me some advice whether I should spend around $400 for this upgrade or is it a total waste of mone?

Thanks

Ed

I upgrade my LS to HID from Ebay and it is working great. When you shopping for HID make sure the kit bulb is designed for H4 for a direct fit. Installation is quick, 30 minutes and done. I very satify with the performance, comparable to new car HID light. I went out of control and upgrade all cars in the family to HID.

Don't bother with fake PIAA HID's..

Get the real ones.

Yes , go with the real HID. The cost for HID has been going down a lot since last couple year. If you still want to go with those fake bulbs cost $ 20.00 make you stay away from those high wattage bulbs. Those bulbs has 80W or 100W generate too much heat and can melt your light housing in a hurry.

Just a follow-up, any others who have done this upgrade?

I came across a green LS last month and the beam pattern was scattered. The area immediately in front of the car for about 7' was good but I don't think it provided any better illumination further out. Certainly not like the nice cut-off.
