Default HID questions.

Hi,

What type of light bulbs do HID kits use? I am infering that the normal light bulbs on the GS ' would not work cause of the watts. How much do they cost? thx

an HID kit will come with the bulb and ballast and everything you need to hook it up

If the light bulb blows out, I am guessing that I would need HID light bulbs. How much do those cost?
Thanks

if you have hid kit and one of your bulbs goes bad, then you will have to replace it with the same bulb......that is hid bulb. thy run about 150-up a pair......

around 150 or so a pair is actually on the low side. i've seen them go for 250 a pair. but if they do blow out replce them both. don't replce just one. your colors won't match.

Default Hella HID

I received my Hella 7000k HID kit today. I haven't put them on yet, but the kit looks nice. I decided to get the Hella kit because I had my friend's Phillips 4300k kit in my Type R and noticed some yellowness since the housing wasn't meant for HIDs. I'm sure i'm sacrificing some brightness with the more blue color, but it can't be too bad. I'll take some pics after the install.

Peace,

Lyle
