I have a 98 gs4 with hid's and yesterday I was driving and noticed that my lights were kind of dark so I look at my lights and 1 headlight was off ! So I turned off my lights then turned then back on and it came on. Today I noticed that the headlight that didn't work yesterday is now purple ! I cut my lights off for a min the turned them back on both were white but within a few mins it turned purple again ? Any ideas ? Could it be the bulb or ballast ? I took my car to lexus of palm beach and they said it was possibly the whole system and that it would cost almost $2000 to repair ! Anybody have a similiar problem ? Thanks

?! forget it, they are BS. it's most likely the bulb. when hid bulbs die they will get bluer and bluer and suddenly VERY blue, then soon after that they die.....

it's relatively harder to have a defective ballasts when it's been working for so long

and WHAT? 2k for the system?
