I have HID in my 98, and i have to replace it. mad 'cause i just replaced the other one about 8 months ago (both had never been replaced). dealer got me for $350 (that includes $75) for labor. they changed the bulb without me authorizing (they originally were checking for the ballast), so they knocked some money off because of that (like $50). anyway, i thought that someone had posted a place to get two for $199, and the bulb was supposed to be good. i will try and search for the post, but in the meantime, if someone knows the particulars, can you post it here? it would probably be good for this thread anyway, since the only d2r bulbs i'm finding so far cost $600 (this is for a whole converstion kit, when i only need the bulb).

ok, think i answered my own questions:

phillips 600k ultinon bulb.
autolamps-online.com

there was a post where rominl mentioned $250 for a pair if
done by money order. i'm ready to make the transaction if
still available. also, is this a total diy type thing, where you
would just swap out the bulb similar to changing a conventional halogen bulb?

the guy's email is

jus4bulbs@yahoo.com

last time i heard it's 250 shipped or 260 paypal shipped

i have to put up disclaimer though, i never tried him, but couple of my friends did including synergy from this board. he's been sending stuff all these time.

also, 75 bucks to change the bulb?! forget it man, do it yourself.

We don't have official DIY but i am sure people can help. try to do a search and see if anything comes up. just be patient, that's all you need.

I just put in M4 for my wedge bulbs and now my headlights and fogs look too yellow. What do u guys recommend for 9006 bulbs for my low beams? I heard RAZO and PIAA were good. Any other suggestions or advice?

Thanks.

fyi: i went thru jus4bulbs to get my bulbs, and would definitely refer him. i had overnighted the money to him (i can't stand driving with one headlight. it's one thing to roll that way in a normal car. but in a gs???? nah, i can't do it). he mailed me to let me know i got it. because i made the money order out for almost 10 bucks too much (eff a paypal!), he airborne expressed me my lights back. told me that i would get them this friday/saturday, and i got 'em yesterday very pleased. now, if i could just shake this illness, maybe i could get out there and swap 'em out. i'm about to search for help on changing hid bulbs, and also wedge bulbs. wish me luck.......
