Any one with HIDs can you please tell me what is the exact light bulb color and size you got for teh DRL and the side bumper lights so it would match the best. Pics and brands and color would be great. Thanks

man it's hard to tell you over the internet how to change the bulbs. basically there is a metal wire clip that clips on the bulb once it's secured. don't put the bulb forward. once it touches the housing that's when you stop. turn it to a position so it's locked and you can't turn anymore

for DRL, same thing as high beam, it's 9005. you can't get DRL to match the color coz' it's high beam at 50% power, yellow always. i would try piaa extreme white or razo platinum zero. for the side marker, i use polarg m4 and i like how it looks

Well i looking into my DRLs and i notice that there is 2 bulbs in there. one is the high beam and the other seems to look just like a regular side marker light. I have a 99 GS 300 i dont think it runs on the High beam at 50%?

i thought all 99+ gs have DRL? do you have that yellow light from the high beam during the day? if so, you have DRL, and it is the high beam running at 50% power. the small bulb at the bottom it only comes on when the headlight (low beam) is on.

and yes, the polarg m4 is what i put on the corner side marker and also replace the lower bulb in the high beam housing to match my hid better at night

Thanks. The sure seem to have good prices.

For those of you that have 6000K low beam HIDs like I do. Have you replace your high beams bulbs?, If so any suggestions?

Thanks!

nop i didn't, i hardly use high beam anyway, and i don't really like the so-blue look of the high beam housing. if you want i would suggest either the piaa extreme white or the razo platinum white zero

I agree. I don't like the blue look on high beam either. I just want something brighter in case I need it.

At opauto I found a PIAA extreme white plus that says 60W=120W and the razo premium white zero (no platinum) that says 55W=110W. What do the numbers mean?

Thanks

it means it's running at 60w (or 55w) but the light output is like 120w(110w)

I see. What's the normal wattage on the GS 60 or 55?
If it is 55w, is it safe to go with 60w?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks

i think the spec is 51w or 55w. i think 60w is pretty ok, won't go higher though
