Default more lighting questions

allright, ill try to keep this short.

just bought sylvania 9006 and now decided to sell them to a friend and go with the 9005 conversion.

now the ? is i read that the fog lights and day-time lights use the same bulb (pictured). its too cold outside but i tried to install them and im pretty lost.

tried to do the foglights and had a hell of a time getting to them. so for now i left everything alone and just put in the 06's for now.

installation i can eventually figure out but did i buy the right bulbs? and they will fit both daytime and fogs right?

thanx for any help.

those are the right bulbs for the foglights, do a search and youll find out how to get into the fogs to get at the bulbs. you can come from overtop or underneath, but ive heard its a pain to get at them from underneath without a lift (isnt everything? if im not mistaken, those bulbs you got are going to look just as yellow as stock h3 bulbs - are you going for a bright white 4100k look (a la silverstar) or just replacing stock bulbs with yellow ones? im not sure what daytime lights youre talking about, as far as i know sc's dont have daytime lights (except maybe in california?)

uh oh, lol. ive never messed around with car lighting so i guess i bought the wrong ones for fogs/citylights? (didnt open them and still have the receipt)

so what bulbs should i buy? just lookin for a simple white. ive done a search and found yellow fogs but they were 85w.

oh, and for the foglights i tried to get to them from the bottom w/ a jack and had a bit of trouble cause of the cold and some panels blocking the way.

guess ill be returning these H3's then if they will glow just like stock. thnx for the help.

The guy that told you the foglights and daytime lights are the same bulb was probably referring to the cornering lights and city lights on pre-95 SC300s. Those do both use wedge bulbs, though I am not familiar with the size of the cornering bulb since I don't have them. Your car is a 95-96 SC300 judging by your sig pic. You do not have daytime running lights, probably referring to city/parking lights, which are bulb sizes: 168 or 194. Your foglights are indeed size H3, but like Kyle said, they will be OEM yellowish to maintain OEM longevity.

On the GS it takes about one minute to get to the fog light bulb and the SC design looks similar (although I don't know for sure). Look at the FRONT of the fog light (from the front of the car). On the inside side of the fogs on the GS (nearest the center of the front of the car) there are two screws holding them in place. Remove the screws, pull out the fog light - done.
