Go with the 9006. I have the 9006 from McCulloch, Now Gourmet Garage. It looks nice on my GS 300 '01.

I agree with MrSypher, why would anyone suggest getting 9005 as another option for headlights on a '01 GS300. Its 9006 for the headlights. Getting the 9005 for your '01 GS300 headlights will NOT fit.

i put an order out for the 9006 6000k hid kit ... but i read in the lighting section that theres two diff. kind of 9006 bulbs one being 9006 b2s and the other cant recall. am i suppose to get the 9006 b2s ?

D2R and D2S basically the same
this link here says the only difference is the metal strip that causes glare reduction but theres really no point b/c its not even all the way around the bulb and it also causes the bulb temp to be lower...http://faq.auto.light.tripod.com/headlamp-faq.htm#REAL_ULTINON
