Yah....if you look at the short notch on the 9006 base....its directly across from the return wire.....thus, when short notch is facing up, the return wire is facing down.

hey pete, something doesn't sound right. shoudln't you be using the stock power connector, that's already one on the left and one on the right?? that's the case for me. so i don't have to run any wires from the battery, or from left to right, etc...?

The kit I got uses a seperate wire harness. I'm not sure if you have the same kit or not but I have to hook up a seperate harness for my HIDs.

Hey guys.....according to the manual and the wires I got.....looks like I gotta tap into the battery (+red).....which then connects to the 20 amp fuse, and then to a ground (- negative).

Here's a pic of my wires.

Just the wires..... notice the red wire (to battery) / black wire (ground).....the rest of the wires requires me to run it from passenger side housing - in front of the car near the radiator - to driver side housing.....Don't think its long enough to run along back side of engine area then down driver side.

oh, this is a different kit than the one i had. the one i had, the wiring is two separate set, one for left and one for right, so there are also two relays as well. but yeah, with yours, you need to run the wire from left to right along the radiator area. and you will need to run the two wires to battery and gnd too. interesting setup

Hey guys....thanks for picking up on the wiring details. Yah....I guess my description didnt really make sense at all to you. A bit different from your setup.

Btw, is it ok to use only one relay for both ballasts? Logically, its probably more stress on the relay. I'm not a electrical guru, but I figure whomever built this wiring set deemed it reliable enough to offer a warranty.

i guess that's why there is a direct line from the relay to the battery for power. in my setup that line is missing, so it means it draws everything from the stock wires

Rominl:

Maybe that warrants you updating you DIY for HID conversion kit to show both wiring setups.
