Would anyone know if sanding just the center of the lens would still be very effective with projectors? Or would there still be a glare from the surrounding lines.

Props to you thought turbosc, those aren't just lines those are mean-@$$ ridges.

Hey, i noticed in yours, they turned a little grey(milky) color. mine got the same way. i used the meguirs 2 step process and finished it off with meguiers number 18 which is the cleaner thingy. it still was grey. i'll try to get some pics up using my new Panasonic GU87 phone.

Nice nice... props to you TurboSC!

Would you think that I'd be worse off just de-lining the projector section of the lens instead of the whole thing? I don't mind the blinkers being lined, but I'm not a fan of the lines over the projector portion of the lens...

That part is really easy, I would just kind mask off the other part that you don't want sanded to be safe. those lines come out pretty easy, I would use like around 100 grit to start with so you don't have to do as much work in the end, and have a less possibility of having some visable scratches.

After sanding the projector lines and using Meguir scratch X, I still got a milky look. I tested the headlights and the cutoff line was very blurred as compared to a removed lens. I will try the meguirs 2 step process tomorrow.

How is your cutoff TurboSC and Jmai?

my cutoff line is perfect. even better than stock. what you need to do is go back and do 1000 grit again and do 2000 grit for a very long time. and then do the meguirs 2 step process. then when you turn on your headlight it should shine right through with no small lines or scratches in it.

hey tubo sc did you put your headlights back together. here is a good test to see if you sanded down enough and buffed out enough. at night turn on your headlights and walk to the front of your car. look into the headlight and if you see all these small scratches that means you gotta reopen it and resand and rebuff it again. all those small scratches really hinder the light output.
