Default 2010 450 rx led light bar

hello 2 months ago I installed an led light bar I tapped is to the fuse box to get power as I turned the lights on my rx motherboard got fried and the car went dead cost 2000 to fix at lexus ,I still want to install it again this time I was thinking of running an independent line from the battery straight to the light so I don't fry anything again any feedback is appreciated.
thanks

Not sure if that's the same thing as having underglow which is what I have on my car. We ran it straight to the battery. I havent had any trouble with battery drain. Hope this helps.

I would find power to the headlights, tap a relay into it as the trigger and get main power from the battery.

Also, don't forget to fuse protect...
