HID install problem
I have a problem with my install of HID's. I have a phillips complete kit, for the 9006 retrofit and a D2R bulb. Standard Phillips basically.
Anyways I have a problem with my passenger side light/ballast not lighting up! The weird problem starts here.... both the setups bulbs, ballasts etc work perfectly fine on the driver's side, yet on the passenger side it won't light up at all!
Now what's wrong with that? I plug in the stock 9006 bulbs and it lights up, so that's fine, but why doesn't it fire up the ballast?
Now I thought.. heck I'll just leave it like that, go for a 30 min drive or so. After about 10-15 mins my lights go out, the brake light, battery light, and alternator light goes on. Crap I thought I melted something. Went back home, found out the headlight 40A fuse blew, got a new one and everything is back to the same problem.. the passenger side light doesn't go on.
Can someone tell me what could be the problem here? Any weird possibility that the passenger side doesn't produce enough current to light the ballast for some odd reason?
I would assume there is no point in trying another HID kit (which I don't have handy).. and I don't really want to return this one since when I swap sides both sets work.
Thanks!

oh man....... you should have asked it earlier here.... what happened is on your pessenger side, the stock power connector is connected to the ballast for the pessenger side right? look at the wire, it's flipped. the red is connected to black now. flip the wires and you are good to go

Oooh, okay let me try that I'll post if it works. Anything bad could happen if it's not that and I switch the wires? I just need to switch the wires at the stock plug, I am assuming I can also switch the wire at the ballast plug that goes into the stock plug (I think it has a clip so I can switch it)

Alright! It worked! Boy, and you think maybe they should have put that in the instructions somewhere.. or at least made a left and right.
Thanks for the help, looks awesome!

Thanks a lot! Oh, and a note... the wires actually had the "colors" correct, but I just took a leap of faith and thought the worst would be a blown fuse. Now my wires don't actually "match" but it's up and running! Time to get some HID's for the RX300.. hehe, maybe the 330's new headlights can be a direct fit... hmm time to go searching
