haven't tried catz. but i have had mcculuch. THEY SUCK. the first month is good. after 1 month they aren't as blue as when you first get them. over time the color fades and the light dims(due to cheap bulb, not due to it turning to white/yellow.)

You have 2 members that chose Catz and 1 member that say McCulloch SUCKS!!! I dont remember reading anyone choosing McCulloch in this thread. Am I missing something?
In any case, if you want the McCulloch....then buy the McCulloch. It's your money.
Btw...my rule of thumb is that you get what you pay for.

I would get the CATZ if it were my money. You know you probably won't be able to get replacment bulbs after the ban on HID kits? So if you're bulbs or ballast poop out on you...well, that's money down the drain.

didn't SUPRATRD from carson toyota have a group buy on the Mccluloch HID's? I can't figure that he would sell something not reputable.
I noticed that the Mccluloch sets are older generation kits (ballasts and starters separate) compared to Catz, or Phillips which are just 1 unit.
I bought a set of Mccluloch 6000k's. So far so good. I'll report back in a few weeks and let you guys know how it turns out.
I also got 1 year warranty on these.
That's the thread on McCulloch.

doesn't sound bad to me at all at the price of $270. Since they were selling for $490 on group buy.

i'm sure the price that ONE HOT SC400 is getting is a special price and not a street price.... I haven't seen any (good or bad) HID kits selling in the high $200 range.
I hate the fact that people always says you get what you pay for.
I got my SC400 for $12300 with 23k miles almost 4 years ago. but it kicks ***.... and I surely got alot more than what I could have gotten paying $15000 for a new Hyundai tiburon. So did I get what I paid for or did I get more? or since the SC400 was a superior car in every way(even though it was used) should I have paid another $2701 to make car better than a hyundai?
I surely didn't get what i paid for. But I got what I wanted at the price that I wanted to get it and that's it...
"IMHO I think XXXXX sux but but to each their own" is another thing that erk's me... but i won't touch that now.
