Default No H/beam &no Dlr

check fuses and just notice that my dlr is not working and also when i hit my high beam no lights come on and the fog lights actually turns off. i have a 00 gs400 with hid, and i change out the m4 to blue, and high beam 9005 to blu also, my question is will the lexus light system not work if one bulb is bad? i check the driver side and everything is fine haven't check the passagner side yet due, much harder to do over there. dealer will only fix it under warranty if i ofcourse change back all the bulbs to oem. anythoughts?

Not sure exactly what the issue is here but if one of the high beam bulbs burns out, the DRL goes away because it is the high beam running with less voltage. At night, the wedge bulb is used to illuminate the inner housing so you don't notice it at night. Talked with a friend in the bulb business and his comment was that the DRL setups that use the high beam bulb at lower voltage shorten the life of the bulb because it doesn't get hot enough. Don't know about that but I can say that I have gone though one set of PIAA high beams already for this reason. Nothing else wrong, just one of the high beams burned out. Once replaced, everything is fine.
