Default Are these dangerous?

Okay, I just put a bid on these on Ebay for my 96 ES..Just wanted to know if they would work OK and if there are any warnings or bad experiences from running these. I am going the cheap way for now, but down the road I will get the real deal. lol

1992-1996 LEXUS ES300 - LOW BEAM (65W)

These Xenon light bulb is the brightest halogen on the road- burning cleaner and crisper, with a white-hot intensity that will set you and your machine apart. It is the only halogen that captures the high performance look of HID, changing your view of the night.

Cool

You're destined for a fire.

As long as the 65w low beams really use 65w then that's fine... Wiring on the ES for low/high is the same & they'll both handle 65w.

Notice the high beams are a tiny bit over that 65w...

Just hope the auction ends without you winning & just buy yourself two sets of 9005 silverstars. Mod the 9005 base to fit the 9006 low beams and have fun. That's what I did... Then swaped to HID and stuck the modded SS's to the high beam. Gotta love plans that work.

Low beam is ok.....it's only +10 watts more than stock wattage.

As for the high beam.....that's close to +40 watts more than stock high beam wattage. You will probably melt your wires or sockets. DANGER!!

Thanks for the heads up guys. I guess I will just have to give 'em to one of my friends or resell them. As for the low beam, what does that statement in bold mean above? It's got me a bit confused.... I just want to make sure I don't melt or set anything on fire.

it's just the same as what was written on my piaa. it's running at 51w, but it says that the light output looks like it's running at 100w. it's still running at 65w, but the light is a lot brighter, etc...

The ad was wrong in the color temp. too.

The silverstars are 4000K color temp.

I have them on my high beams.

I really like them, I just wish they made an H-11 for my low beams

hey serrano,
let us know how the silverstars look, i was thinking about ordering them too, but i am not too sure how "HID-like" they look. I see alot of people write good things about it though, so maybe i should get it too.
