Default Can I change non HID's to HID's

I just recently bought 2 Lexus HID's off ebay and thought I could just swap the lights, but noticed that the harness are different. Is it possible to change non hid lights to HID lights? or did I just waste money? Thanks in advance

You should have bought a kit....alot easier.

Your Lexus HID....you will have to buy HID reflective housings to mount the bulbs to the housing. Non-HID housing are 9006 type. The wiring to power up the Lexus ballast is an issue too.

Sorry dude....it can be done, but it will hit you hard in the wallet.

umm...... so you saying the hid headlights they are not plug and play? i thought the main plugs (the power) is still plug and play? there should be one thing you can't connect it to anywhere, it's for the leveling computer and it's not present on cars without hid

I bought the whole headlight assembly. I talked with someone and they said the only thing i have to do is run a ground and a battery wire to it. It is not plug and play b/c the plug fits a 9006 bulb and the HID have a 4 socket plug.

hey, wutdeheck
I am trying to do the same thing too , I also bought a pair of whole housing HID kit from a lexus dealer,
and I talked to a manager from a local lexus, he said that if it is factory one, then there is no way to install them on the GS3 because the wiring is different and the voltage of the HID is too high fro the car

but hope you can get it done
and give me some advice

Thanks
Sam
