There are these blubs called naxos(not sure of exact spelling) blubs and you can get them in purple. They should be around $65- $70. They look really good. I know for sure this auto parts place called summit racing sells them, just put in a search engine for summit racing and see what happens

I've heard nothing but good about these Sylvania Silverstars. I didn't know about them till I ordered my generic xenons on Ebay for 18 bucks. I'm currently trying to get my hand on a pair, they run about $25 per bulb.

More info can be found here: http://www.sylvania.com/auto/silverstar.htm

Default I bought the

Piaa extreme whites for only $100 - I'm sure you can find them cheaper, but I just had to have it. They match the color of my HID on my 330. Nice quality. Remember, you get what you paid for.

I have PIAA Xtreme Whites on both my low beams and my fogs in my 2001 ES 300. The lows have been on for 5 months so far, and 3 months for the fogs. They look great, but of course this is no substitute for HIDs. I attached a picture showing the before-and-after look of the fogs. You can't capture the "true" look in the picture; you have to see this in person

Cool

Silverstars $40 retail.

The funnyest thing about all those bulbs is if you're going for the "look" of HID; you normally can't fool even random idiots into thinking it's HID.

PIAA Xtreme Whites or Silverstars. Just match your highs and lows with your fogs to get the complete look.

There is an autoparts store chain around Boston/New England that now offers lifetime warranty on Sylvania Silverstar bulbs if you purchase them with their discount card. The store is Lappens.

Unless Brendan is capturing it, of course.

I have the 9006 modified bulbs in the 9005 place. I got a good lighting but I was not particularly impressed by the color of the lights, it still seems slightly yellowish. Hence I am going to be trying the eurodezigns bulbs next, the purple ones. If anyone has had experience with them (the eurodezigns) please let me know, they can be had on ebay for $12.

Thanks
Sohaib

can they be ordered from say, Canada, and shipped to the US? There's usually ways around stupid laws, and things that are illegal aren't always hard to get

But seriously, is there no way to get real HID's anymore?

I have the Silverstars and I'm not happy with the look. I'll soon get real HIDs, at a bargain of course.
And by the way HIDs are NOT BANNED!
