Cool 2000 LS400-Wires through firewall

I've been looking for a way to run wires through the firewall of a 2000 LS400. There's a couple of forums on here, but it's mainly for 91-94 models. I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to drill, or which grommet can I use to get through? Also if you have pics that will help. Thanks

I asked this question probably 6 months ago and one of the really nice fellas here helped me out. That poster wasn’t running an amp power wire, they were running a power wire for air suspension, same thing works though.

I ran, 4 gauge I think, power wire from the battery to the trunk. I dropped the wire down above the drivers side front wheel and into the cabin from there. It required taking part of the plastic shield down above the tire to be able to get the wire where you need it. Search for air suspension installation.

Thanks! This helps a lot. That grommet you used was the 2nd one I tried and my wire was close, but with your pics everything is clear now

I'm about to loosen up the mud flap tomorrow. Do you think it's possible to loosen it up and be able to see the wire without removing the whole tire?

you might be able to, but it's much easier to see things with the wheel/tire off. you don't want to accidentally clip or tear a wire in that loom. you're welcome to try!
