Default 98 LS400 Power Steering leaking

Today when I was turning my steering to either direction in extreme, there was a loud screeching noise on either side. I continued to drive with it and pulled on to a parking lot and checked fluid, it was on low end but I made it home with that. It was just extremely tight to turn the steering even to the slightest.

I replaced my PS pump with AC Delco Reman in 03/19,
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...endations.html

And I did replace the acv valve too. So anybody have suggestions on where to start from? Is this ps pump itself or something else would be a culprit (?)

EDIT leak was from stress fracture on the high pressure line. the pump still works good.

Did you replace the belt? Is it tight?

Just checked the fluid again after driving back. It's almost empty in the reservoir. So I'm starting with topping the fluid.

The fluid doesn't get consumed or used up, check for leaks on all power steering lines in the bay and near the cooler.

definitely looks like the valve is leaking pretty badly, they are plastic, I would double check that, since that's really the only line that could leak from the pump

Oh boy, she's leaking like a sieve. Almost looks like it is coming out of the high pressure line banjo fitting. Did you use new crush washers?

I would also check out the alternator in case it is soaked now...

My guess too high pressure line. Haven't checked alternator yet but it's pissing on the side. Can someone tell me the pn for the washer.

4432730030 is part # for high pressure line gasket to pump or rack. There should be a washer on both sides of the high pressure line where the banjo bolt slides through. You may have forgot to put the one on the other side that goes against the pump.

Thanks. Looks like I have the washer. But can it still leak?
I'm just going to drain the reservoir and unbolt the high pressure line with pump in place. Any precautions to take place? Would replace the washer and see if it works. My fear is I don't want the pump to be leaking from somewhere near that union.

I just replaced the crush washer and found it's still leaking. I was able to get another video (last 15 secs in both). Anybody think my union itself leaking at the joint? If so, I'm considering to get some sealant that can withstand such a pressure to test to. Any recommendations?

The 400 PS system is far from perfect. We all know this, but the banjo bolt and crush washer is a very reliable design. I'm wondering if it's not something on the pump itself leaking within close proximity to the banjo bolt.
44338A (O ring) possibly..?
