Default 94 Lexus ls400 built 8/94

Hello fellow Gen 1 Lexus ls400 owners!
Can someone please help me?
i got O//D slow blinking light the other day and to try to reset I have disconnected negative battery cable for 30 seconds. After reconnecting I now have fast blinking check engine and O/D lights. Is there any procedure to reset them or is it a clear indication that my ECU is bad and there is nothing else other than rebuilding and replacing capacitors at this point?
Thank you!
Arthur

Check the trouble codes first, under your hood is a small rectangular diagnosis box....connect T1-E1, might be TE1-E1 the positions are located on the bottom of the cap when it's flipped up.

Post them back here and someone will let you know what they are or you can google them.

Edit
On your car disconnecting the battery or pulling the EFI fuse should clear codes, you have a hard code/codes could be why it didn't clear.

Here is how you check for codes. You have a code stored for the tranny if the O/D light is flashing.

i have tried to get codes by bridging both engine compartment and driver side kick panel (just in case) and I’m getting no codes at all. Although it appears when in diagnostic mode it clears both CEL and O/D lights, after couple of miles of driving they reappear with fast flashing (both coming on at the same time)
Not getting diagnostic codes, even if there aren’t any I should still see .5 sec. fast flashes just to show there are no error codes but I get none of that!
Any ideas at this point? Is it clearly pointing to ECU issues?
Thank you,
Arthur

I read this on another posting on this forum;

The O/D OFF light blinking indicates that a trouble code has been stored in the computer, much like a trouble code in the engine will cause the Check Engine light to come on. There is a way to retrieve the trouble code stored in the computer. I only have trouble codes for the A245E, but if it's the same problem, then the code will be the same for the A340E. All you need to retrieve the code is a jumper wire to bridge terminals in the diagnostic port (in the engine compartment on your OBD-I car). This will NOT work on OBD-II equipped cars ('95+ LS400s are OBD-II).

The procedure is:
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (do not start the engine), and push the O/D switch in (O/D).
2. Bridge the terminals E1 and TE1 of the data link connector with a paperclip or jumper wire.
3. The code stored is indicated by the number of flashes of the "O/D OFF" light. The light will blink the number of the first digit of the code, then pause, then blink the number of the second digit of the code, then a longer pause, then will either move on to another code if a second one has been stored, or will flash the first one again.

The only codes I know of are:
Code 42 (4 flashes, pause, 2 flashes): Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS or circuit)
Code 62 (6 flashes, pause, 2 flashes): No. 1 Solenoid valve or circuit
Code 63 (6 flashes, pause, 3 flashes): No. 2 Solenoid valve or circuit
Code 64 (6 flashes, pause, 4 flashes): SL Solenoid valve or circuit

I know you already did this but maybe it will help you with what could be wrong, is the od working and are there any other symptoms?

One of my bad ones did that and it is in the symptoms where it's not reading anything, no communication. I would say the ECU needs to be rebuilt. If it hasn't been done already, it will need it at any time.

You have commited the automotive good samaritan act of updating:

You came back after a period of time and updated the thread on what you found the problem to be and what you did to fix it. Thank you
