Hey there, I recently changed out my LS OEM taillights for a pair of clear tails I made! I ordered a couple of red LED bulbs because the stock bulbs are of course, not red. I go through 3+ different brand of red LED bulbs trying to find a pair that fit. ALL of them will not fit into the bulb housing. The LED bulbs seem to have a tab that the bulb housing is not liking, hence it not fitting. I finally found a pair that fit and of course then they were to long, touching the inside of the clear tails, those didn't work. THEN I found bulbs that finally fit and worked great. Then they all burnt out in under a year. Someone with any good red bulbs, LED or not, please chime in. THANKS! <3

Can you post the bulb numbers/brands/types you've already tried?

I don't exactly remember all the brands I've tried because I have had them all returned. They all stated that they were 7443, I believe that is the correct size, right?
The only ones that have fit so far are these amazon brand Brightstar 7443 7440 T20 LED bulbs.

Sylvania states their red LED's should be used behind a RED LENS. Phillips red LED's have no such direction.

i ran red LEDs in my clear tails, ebay specials 7443 but they did not last long either.

my recommendation is the sylvania brand - pricey but color fastness and brightness PLUS quality is second to none!
