Default aftermarket stereo in a 2000

I've just acquired a 2000 LS400 from my grandfather. I am trying to install a double din stereo, but am having some trouble getting the wiring sorted out. I have the standard stereo, not the nakamichi. The model number on the back of the stereo is: KEX-M9076ZT. After reading some posts here I came upon the beatsonic sla-22, which I have learned is now discontinued. Is there another plug and play solution for these cars? I am considering de-pinning the stock connectors to fit them to the harness that came with my stereo, but would like to avoid this if possible. From my understanding, this would me bypassing the factory amp, which I would also like to avoid. I am also having some trouble finding a decent wiring diagram for this unit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I could be wrong but I don’t believe there is a currently available plug and play piece for these cars, there are getting quite old and a lot of folks just leave the factory unit in until the car is gone.

I put and aftermarket double din in my kids 1998 and we had to bypass he factory amp, which means you lose the sub in the back. We ended up running a new amp and a new sub in a box. It turned into a sort of bigger project than I would have liked but I wanted him to have CarPlay.

I paid a shop 5 years ago to put a system in my car, they bypassed the whole factory system as well. More or less running standalone with an amp under the driver seat.

IIRC there was a plug & play system sold many years ago for non-nav cars, but I think it's out of production.

The prior and original owner of my car had the original stereo replaced and he had to have a shop do it. Factory amp was bypassed (I first discovered this when I was under the passenger seat one day and noticed everything was unplugged…)

Having said that everything else is factory including sub so just because you have aftermarket system put in doesn’t mean you can run factory sub and speakers.

Bottom line my sense is unless you have experience this is not plug and play, it’s not a simple DIY and this is something many people such as myself just have to pay a professional to do properly.

you can hard wire most things but getting the sub to work is the challenge. read on!
