Default 96 ls400 p1305

I've been combing through the forums and can't solve this issue. P1305 fault. Both coil packs are good. Both igniter are good. Both ignition rotors and distributor caps just replaced. Still no spark from half the cylinders. Low voltage reading going into that coil pack. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd simply check the harness from the ignition coil to the ECU before throwing parts. If it's OK, I will check the ECU measuring the ripple level as is explained in the FAQ page.

Looks like I'm going to keep chasing wires. Found wiring schematics at 1996 ls400 system wiring diagrams

So all the wiring is checking good. Had the ecu pulled and taken to an electronics diagnosis center. They took it apart and said "it looked ok". Im suspecting this is the ecu capacitor problem. Everything else seems to be checking fine

Sent the uecu off to module experts which turned out to be a huge scam. Learn from my mistake! May not end up getting the ecu back... Can I put an used one in or will I run into immobilizer problems?

Sorry for stepping into quicksand. I hope there's some resolution. I would try to get the original ECU back (I bet you have to pay for it, yes?)

A quick search for Module Experts reviews should have been a warning to stay away. ::shrug::

Received the ecu back. Opened it up and the capacitors are indeed leaking. Will put new ones in and see if I get spark

96 doesn't have an immobilizer

Kind of says a lot about Module Experts.

Replace the capacitors with only the ones referenced in this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...capacitor.html

Specified capacitors are cheap enough; don't buy Amazon or ebay caps. The sources below practice first in, first out and you're not getting ten year old components.
