Searching for AC blower motor controller for 1995 LS400, plus too many motor failures
I'm looking for a blower motor controller for 1995 Lexus LS 400. Part number 87165-50020. I see older posts here with links, but they're no longer available. Searching online, and everything is sold out, even ebay. I could search salvage yards, but I run the risk of having the same problem sooner rather than later.
Anyone know of a place that may have one in stock? I knew the car was 28 years old and problems would come up, but in less than 2 months that I've owned it, it seems like EVERYTHING electrical is starting have issues at once. The rear drivers side window stopped working with no warning last week, the driver lumbar support seems to only inflate the left side (3 weeks ago), Driver side rear tilt works intermittently (4 weeks ago), passenger side forward and back steat motor stopped a week after I got the car, the used steering wheel tilt motor i installed started intermittently working after 4 weeks, the telescoping motor just start to show signs its having issues, and now the blower would drop fan speed for a spilt second then come back. That happened for only a couple days last month and then worked fine. Now, a few days ago, it started happening again, but this time more frequently until it finally decided to go to the lowest fan speed no matter what is selected. Still blows cold, just low fan speed (blower motor was replaced according Lexus service records at around 70 or 80 thousand miles) . Could something else be causing all these issues or is it my dumb luck? Surprisingly, the power antenna works quite well, even though I don't listen to the FM radio, but then again, I see from the service records it's been replaced 3 times during its 142,000 miles.
One last thing- why does it seem easier to find parts (new) for 90-94 and 98-2000 LS, but not for 95-97? Am I missing something or is there just no love for the 95-97? Even when there are parts, Google somehow always defaults to other model years.
