Exclamation 1992 LS400 Odometer still not working after being replaced

I purchased a 1992 LS400 that had a broken odometer. I did some research before buying the car and figured it was just the gears which could be easily and cheaply replaced. After buying the car I took the instrument cluster out and inspected it, and didn't see anything mechanically wrong with the assembly, so I figured it was likely something electrical. I decided to go with a remanufactured assembly from Tanin, set to the "correct" mileage. Figured it'd be plug and play and call it a day. After installation of the new unit, my odometer is still not going up, while both trip meters are.

I also recently had my ECU redone by the legend CowboyLS (post about this coming soon). I thought since I was having signs of a funky ECU, this could be linked to the odometer not working. But after replacing the ECU and odometer assembly, it still does not increase in mileage.

I am kind of at a loss right now, searching the forums has not helped in locating what else could have gone wrong. I do know my instrument cluster may need replacing, not sure if this is causing it but it seems like it is the final culprit. Are there any other sensors I can check/replace that would lead to the odometer not working? Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

To be clear your trip counters work as normal but the odo doesn't move at all? Why not call Tanin.

Yes that’s correct. I haven’t thought that the new unit could be faulty as well, but I guess that is a possibility and I could give them a ring tomorrow.

They repair so many clusters should be able to give you some guidance.

The parts are all tested to verify the mileage increases correctly, gear doesn't bind, the new bulb works, and the motor works. It's likely a problem with the small circuit board that it plugs into.
