Water leaking into trunk from tail light
Hey!
My LS400 (2000) has a decent water leak coming from the drivers side tail light that can get into the carpet and make this terrible smell. It happens every time it rains hard or I get the car washed. There is maybe a quarter inch of water pooled in the light and when I open the trunk water comes from the housing for the bulbs in the light. I want to get this taken care of so I don't have to freak out whenever it rains anymore. Is the solution as simple as getting a new set of tail lights or am I in for more than I am expecting?

i suspect the foam seal is bad, per the thread referred to by LeX2K. not sure if this can be bought new (and likely will be pricey) but you can try to make your own using similar gasket material, or use RTV sealant (messy option).
