Default Re-wiring

Hey guys, this may not even be possible, but does anyone know if it’s possible to wire my underglow to turn on when i put on the fog lights via the steering column on my 98 LS400? and if you know, maybe share with me how, idk if it’s via the fuse box or the column itself or maybe i can wire it directly to the fog lights themselves?

i moved this thread from the build thread sub-forum to the general area for more traffic.

to answer your question yes you can wire it to the foglights. the easiest way is to utilize a relay so you don't use the foglights to power the underglows directly.

instead of the dash mounted light switch, you can use the + side of your foglight to trigger the coil - in other words connect 86 to your foglight positive terminal (assuming it's positively switched). the "light" here would be your underglows!

more, for negatively switched system:

Don't ever replace a low amperage fuse with a higher amperage fuse.

if you cannot figure out the diagram you should probably let a professional handle it. there is a high risk of messing something up!
