Default 1995 UCF20 RHD with Bilstein. Anyone have experience about it?

Dear all,

I've been thinking about replacing and upgrading the shockabsorber using BILSTEIN 24027342 B6 Performance Strut (Front) and BILSTEIN 24027359 B6 Performance Strut (Rear). However, upon reading the details about the rear ones, I contacted RockAuto and they replied this:

That note indicates it only fits on the Rear of vehicles that have Front Coil Springs originally.
for the rear.

I contacted Bilstein but so far no reply yet. For me, It is weird that any PDF from Bilstein never mentioned about using OEM Front springs for Bilstein Rear shockabsorbers for this particular car. Other online seller never mention this issue too.

Can anyone chip in your experience of this issue?

Thank you.

I am blindly guessing that they are implying that air-ride cars cannot be retrofitted with this particular shock?

I've personally never heard of that. I was under the impression that air-ride makes no difference to the comparability of any shock, OEM or aftermarket.

Of course, you must remove the air-ride equipment to retrofit normal shocks, and maybe that's what they're talking about.

Mine is OEM coilovers. No air suspensions at all.

That's why I'm confused about RA claims about it.

Bilstein responded that Front Springs must not be used for their Rear Shockabsorbers. Just use the OEM Rear springs.

Case closed.
