I have a 96 ls400 and the issues currently are a power steering leak steering rack wasnt placed right and the main issue the battery not staying charged. I have checked the alternator and the previous owner has replaced it but i checked it for myself and the alt is good i checked the plug as well as the other wire that bolts onto the back I also replaced the 120a fuse as well as other 7.5 fuses i am stumped at this point because idk why the battery doesnt stay charged. I charged the battery and got it checked at autozone today and it was at full capacity and held a charge i put it in the car and drive the car a mile to the gas station when i turned it off and went to turn it back on it wouldnt start i had to jump the car and then several other times until i got the car home. Anyone know what this issue is or has faced this issue

Another thing is the dash doesnt work it lights up but the tachometer doesnt work i dont know my rpms or mph or gas but idk if thats related to why the battery doesnt stay charged

How did you check the alternator?

i took the alt to autozone and had it checked by them and they said no issues
